A typical system allows drivers to log on and view their day to day jobs on a hand held mobile PDA and can also include a prompt for drivers to initiate a vehicle safety check before setting out. The driver then navigates to the job by satellite navigation integrated into the Harbinger application. Every time a driver completes a job, the data is sent in real time via GPS to a Graphical User Interface or to an existing customer’s CRM; the office-based workforce can then easily communicate to customers, for example, an estimated time of arrival.

The Harbinger Mobile product line is developed in a Microsoft environment and is hardware independent. The solutions are developed on Microsoft’s .NET platform and can be integrated with other technologies like Microsoft Office. The mobile products are prepared with the future in mind based on Microsoft Mobile Platform using 3G equipment and other future standards in mobile and PDA technology.
